A press conference held at Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo on 02nd of September 2026, introduced the Unlabelled Runway 2026 – powered by purpose; a fashion showcase designed to inspire inclusion, individuality, resilience and belonging leading up to the main event scheduled for 25 September 2026.
This year, the second consecutive edition of The Unlabelled Runway, presented by Caroline J Global Holdings sought to transcend what a fashion show means as fashion and storytelling platforms for representation that delivers confidence and social impact.
The show featured models, celebrities, designers and people from various walks of life including young people from partner organisations, persons with disabilities as well cancer patients/ survivors. The initiative aimed to redefine the labels and definitions that could box people and undermine their value by bringing them all together on one runway.
The Unlabelled Runway was conceptualised and delivered through collaborations with SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka, Indira Cancer Trust, Child Action Lanka and the Roshan Mahanama Trust; a group of organisations united by their dedication to creating opportunities for those most vulnerable in our society.
Speaking to us, Caroline Jurie, Founder and Chairperson of Caroline J Global Holdings shared the vision was created for a platform in such a way that people can feel empowered to be themselves.
Fashion is more than a pretty face. It can embolden individuals, raise awareness and initiate important discussions. It is about losing the labels that society has given people and this does not only have to be those with a disability it could be for anyone as everyone should be seen, valued and offered a place regardless,” she said.
It also included a Pink Runway, an event inspired by the need to draw attention to breast cancer awareness and those who have shown bravery and fortitude in relation to it. It featured public figures, professional models and people associated with the cause.
The event highlighted Sri Lankan design alongside international design, combining great local and global views as part of a larger fashion, and cultural experience.
Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo, on 25 September 2026 was empowering to hold the Unlabelled Runway with a VIP reception followed by the runway itself and partaken in evening cocktails as well. Tickets were available from PickMe Explore convenient for the event.
At the press conference, the Caroline J Global Holdings website was also unveiled, establishing a centralized digital destination to showcase the company’s multifaceted work across fashion, beauty talent, events and purpose-driven initiatives while offering visibility into its existing and future projects as well as collaborations.
The Unlabelled Runway 2026 delivered an audience that represented a multitude of layers within the diverse fabric of media, corporate leaders, designers, personalities, influencers and guests filling the room with wishes for change — to whom all can aspire.
