Jaffna Bulls pulled off a hard-fought 36/31 win over Colombo Aces in their NEXT XV Week 2 rugby encounter which was worked off at Longdon Place last night.
Jaffna Bulls scored their points through 5 tries, 4 conversions and a solitary penalty. Meanwhile, Colombo Aces scored their points through 5 tries and 3 conversions. At the short breather Jaffna led 21/12.
Shakib Zumri and Mohamed Fawaz played well for Colombo while for Jaffna Udan Wijekoon and Nimantha Sandeepa played well. Raveen Alexander refereed.
In the second game, Galle Lions beat Kandy Tuskers 19/10. Galle scored through 3 tries and 2 conversions while Kandy scored through 1 try, 1 conversion and 1 penalty. The encounter was refereed by Beeshma Jayasekara.
