Groundworth Group has launched “ISLA”, a gated land development in Hokandara. The company describes the project as “Your Island Within the City” and says it combines private plots with onsite landscaping and road access, while offering residential and investment options.
ISLA is located at No. 15/10, Bastian Weragala Mawatha, Hokandara North, Hokandara. Groundworth provided a brochure that lists connections to surrounding townships and main routes; the brochure notes proximity to Thalawathugoda, Pannipitiya, Kottawa and Athurugiriya. Lakbima News viewed the brochure and the site address given by the developer.
Kasun Andrahennadi, managing director and co-founder of Groundworth Group, said in a statement to Lakbima News, “Our approach to identifying land that offers more than just a location is reflected in ISLA. Our goal was to build a development in a well-connected area of Hokandara that combines thoughtful planning, appreciation potential and a quality living environment. ISLA has been designed to give our customers the opportunity to build a space that reflects their aspirations while also giving them confidence in their investment.”
The masterplan shows 30 plots, with sizes starting at 6 perches. The developer lists internal access roads of 30 feet and communal planting around the site. Groundworth provided copies of title deeds and approved plans; Lakbima News examined those documents that were submitted to the local planning authority and to the land registry.
Land prices begin at LKR 1.8 million per perch, the developer says. Groundworth confirmed the project is open for site visits and that a limited number of plots remain available.
