Sri Lankan cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya and former captain Upul Tharanga attended the opening of the Senaro Premier Center at Jubilee Post, Nugegoda. Senaro managing director Roshana Waduge joined them for the ceremony on Mirihana Road.
Senaro is a 100% Sri Lankan-owned motorcycle brand that competes with imported models in the domestic market.
In a company statement to Lakbima News, Senaro said its assembly and production processes include more than 30% local value addition. The company added that its operations create direct and indirect employment in several districts.
Senaro said the GN 125, its first locally assembled motorcycle, is the best-selling locally assembled model in Sri Lanka, based on the company’s sales figures.
The new Premier Center is part of Senaro’s plan to expand its sales and service network across the country, the company said. (Lakbima News)
